of God for Kids app

  • The God for Kids app is fun, engaging and interactive. It’s about the Bible and God and Jesus. It’s good to do together as a family and to discuss the questions together. We would usually play it after school. The children’s favourite parts are the bits where you put the “good words” in the treasure chest and the “bad words” in the bin. I like the child’s voice on it. It makes it a lot more appealing for the kids. I think it works best on a tablet. It’s definitely a good app and we enjoyed it.

  • The app was fun, friendly and cheerful. I liked the grown up questions as they gave me lots to think about. After I showed them how to open the app (they’re not used to playing on iPads) they could navigate it by themselves but I would prefer to do the activities together as a family, after dinner, before bedtime. We don’t usually read the Bible or use Bible apps (but occasionally go along to church activities) so this app was very interesting and my girls responded very well to all aspects – the multiple choice questions, drag and drop puzzles, ask-a-grown-up questions, the game and the sticker scene.

  • “This book very simply explains what it means for God to be eternal in kid-friendly language. I love that it points us back to the Bible to get our answers. It's lots of fun and I'm looking forward to giving it to my Godson and Goddaughter.”

  • “As with her app God for Kids, Joanne has done it again in her brilliant way of communicating God and the questions we have in a very easy-to-understand way for children with depth and truth. The fun rhyming text, bright illustrations and follow up question, fun fact, prayer and Bible verse all work together to help our children understand the concept of an invisible God who loves us. Excellent book - we can’t wait for the future Eden Valley titles!”

  • Children have active brains, and often ask lots of big questions about God, faith and the Bible. This brilliant book seeks to explain the answer to arguably the hardest question they'll ever ask via a team of friendly animal characters. It does a great job, offering an answer which is intellectually satisfying whilst avoiding simplistic platitudes. In language under 8s can understand! In rhyme! There are further facts and discussion pointers at the back, as well as an extremely helpful prayer and Bible verse, acknowledging the limits of our own understanding. The illustrations are bold and colourful, making this a thoroughly engaging book. It's aimed at under 8s (my 7yo twins love it) but the subject matter gives plenty of brain fodder for older kids too (my 10yo was very positive about it).

  • Really enjoy reading this with my grandson. He is 4 1/2 and he also enjoys the app that goes with it. He loves the idea of Ru ( the Holy Spirit ) going to school with him. It is teaching him he doesn’t need to fear because God is so strong He can take of him. The whole series is excellent.
